What We Do
The Iranian Studies Group at MIT (ISG) is a non-partisan, non-profit, academic organization with the aim of promoting Iranian civil society through conducting research on issues related to Iranian native and expatriate societies. Our research projects focus on the cultural, social, economic, and political development of the Iranian society. By actively publicizing our findings in a format that is accessible for the community at large, we aim to bridge the gap between research, public knowledge, and policy-making. ISG is recognized by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Association of Student Activities.
ISG's projects and their results have been periodically cited by many different media and organizations such as BBC, Washington Post, Washington Prism, Shargh Newspaper, U.S. State Department, Iranian.com etc.
